Very interesting take! I'm always fascinated by seaing how urban regions geographic social and economic organization changes over time. I wonder if the Hyde Park area will eventually one of Chicago's next significant growth hubs. For now it seems a bit isolated but if new development and revitalization begins to join it to the South Loop, it could really take off.
